How ED Combo ODT works

Sildenafil and tadalafil block PDE5, an enzyme that limits blood flow, so your body’s natural response to arousal works more easily.

PT-141 (bremelanotide) works differently, on brain pathways involved in desire and arousal. L-citrulline is an amino acid your body uses to make nitric oxide.

ED Combo ODT questions

Is the ED Combo ODT FDA-approved?

No. It is compounded by a state-licensed pharmacy. Sildenafil and tadalafil are FDA-approved on their own, and bremelanotide is FDA-approved as Vyleesi® for premenopausal women with low desire, but this combination is not.

Why combine ingredients?

Each ingredient works a little differently. Your provider may recommend a combination if a single medication wasn’t enough.

Can I drink alcohol with it?

A drink or two is usually fine, but heavy drinking can make erections harder and increase dizziness.

Important safety information

Last updated

Do not take this medication if you take nitrates or riociguat, as the combination can cause a sudden, dangerous drop in blood pressure. Sexual activity can strain your heart; stop and get medical help if you have chest pain, dizziness, or nausea during sex. Get emergency care for an erection lasting more than 4 hours, or for sudden vision or hearing loss. Tell your provider about all medications you take, including alpha-blockers and HIV medications. PT-141 (bremelanotide) can cause nausea and a temporary increase in blood pressure, and is not recommended for people with uncontrolled high blood pressure or heart disease. This combination is compounded and not FDA-approved. Vyleesi® is a registered trademark of its owner.
